A physician family in Middleton is in need of a part-time nanny to care for their 3 children and also to help make sure that the household is running smoothly. The children are ages 1o (girl), and a boy and girl age 6. The schedule needed is M-F, 2pm- about 6pm, and about one week per month they will also need the nanny to come from 6am-8am in the morning to see the children off for school. They would like a nanny that is very reliable and can be very flexible with the schedule. They would like a nanny that is interested in working extra hours. There may be some times in which the parents may be running late from work. There may also be some times in which the nanny will be needed to help out during the day if one of the children is home sick from school. There may also be some infrequent overnights. They are seeking a nanny that is flexible, proactive, able to think ahead, good with school age children, and also a nanny that is comfortable driving with children. The duties include household laundry once per week, organizing the pantry about once per month, cleaning and organizing the refrigerator as needed, sweeping the kitchen floor and using swiffer on it once per week. The nanny will also be needed to drive with the children. The family will provide a mini van for this. The family would like the nanny to assist the children in educational activities, can manage occasional difficult behavior in a positive way, a nanny that can guide and oversee the kids in their own independent activities, rather than playing with them all the time. The children love to play outside with friends, read, make believe,and legos. The family does not do much screen time at all. The children are involved in some after-school activities, such as, piano lessons, horseback riding, gymnastics, and soccer. The parents' discipline philosophy is to use consequences and loss of privileges. The pay is negotiable and between $15 and $17/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and the right fit. They are offering 20 hours per week guaranteed minimum. They are also willing to offer paid holidays, and payment toward health insurance or payment toward a college/educational class.
